Proper tools to do an oil change?

I have a can opener, a plunger, a fork and a 5 year old newspaper- what else do I need to make an oil change on my ride?

And how often do you need to change the oil on a Model A?

Thanks!Proper tools to do an oil change? You're missing the most important tool ... a mechanically inclined guy who doesn't mind getting dirt under his nails :D

If I don't have one of those, I'm straight off to the oil change place.

--edit--

Apologies for referring to guys as %26quot;tools%26quot; ... our asker chose that word, not me. Now that we have that out of the way, do any of you guys want to come over and change my oil?Proper tools to do an oil change?Skip the can opener, too time consuming. Just use a hammer and knock a hole in it. You can plug it up when you're done.

You won't need the plunger, gravity will get the oil out. Make sure the newspaper is spread out well, oil takes a bit to soak in and will run a good distance.Proper tools to do an oil change? What You'll Need

Ratchet or open end wrench

Oil filter wrench

Oil catch/recycle container

Funnel

New oil filter

New Oil

Clean ragProper tools to do an oil change?A. $19.99 and the phone number to Midas.

B. Change the oil in every year that ends with %26quot;aught%26quot;.Proper tools to do an oil change? Is it an old style plunger or the new %26quot;bellows%26quot; style. If it's the latter, better get the old style.

As far as the newspaper, you'd better be using the New York Times Sunday edition. USA Today just won't work as well.

Spork is much better for this oil change.

Every 5 minutes or 5 miles, whichever comes first.

Be sure to re-vulcanize your tyres too!Proper tools to do an oil change?I wouldn't get started until you get yourself a butcher knife and a crowbar. And you should change the oil on a Model A everytime the engine starts to smoke. Also, don't forget to check your headlight fluid and to get some Elbow Grease to grease up all the gears with.Proper tools to do an oil change?Nothing else but a funnel and Model A irplane Glue.

Mix the glue with the oil, open yourself a coke with the can opener, pour the oil Model A irplane glue mix in with the funnel, plunge it good to make sure it's in, then sell the newspaper to an unsuspecting illiterate for 75 cents.

Do that every fortnight and you'll be the talk of the roadway!Proper tools to do an oil change?you will need a set of combo wrenches. a bucket to catch the oil and a tool to grasp the filter to tighten or loosen.. and a creeper to ride under the car.. a good jack set and stands for safety and fresh oil okProper tools to do an oil change? All you need is my daughter, she can do it just fine.

Oh, yeah, you might need a few cans of oil to put back in there. Not vegetable oil either.Proper tools to do an oil change?I don't know about Model A's but on modern vehicles you would need a socket wrench, an oil filter wrench, and a drain pan to catch the old oil.

Change the oil about every 500 miles.Proper tools to do an oil change?Good luck with that. I always just go to Jiffy Lube. They even put a sticker on my window telling me when to come back again.
