I need to use my car (BMW) for a road trip for thanksgiving and there is not time to change the oil because the dealship is booked up and I dont do it at any other place.
The car showes that I need to change oil in 600 miles. I would go both by the computer and the last time you changed the oil. If it is more than 5K miles since you changed the oil, then I would change the oil before the trip.
You can also go to independent Euro imports specialist to change the oil. You do not have to change the oil from the dealer all the time. I would not go to quick lube places.
