How often should I change the oil in a 1.8T?

I am using full synthetic oil and need to know when (miles/months) I should take it in for an oil change. How often should I change the oil in a 1.8T?Full synthetic oil is rated by the manufacturer for a specific number of month / miles. This is usually between 2 and 3 times as long as the normal oil change interval. Follow the oil manufacturers recommendations after the vehicle engine warranty has expired, until then follow the vehicle manufacturers longest recommended interval to avoid violating the warranty.



Normal oil change intervals:

Short trips, Less than 10 miles typical drive per engine warm up - Change Oil every 3000 miles or 3 months.

Long trips, Over 10 miles average drive per engine warm up -

Change Oil every 5000 miles or 3 months.

Continuous extended driving, 100+ miles per warm up -

Change Oil every 7000 miles or the maximum permitted oil change interval recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.



A full synthetic oil is capable of at least doubling these intervals, but do not do it until your engine is out of warranty! How often should I change the oil in a 1.8T?same as for any other car ... every 3-5000 miles depending on usage

if you rev it high, or drive ir hard , change it more often, if you baby it then use the latter number
