How much would a mechanic charge for oil change in Sydney?

Approximately...

I have absolutely no idea how to change it myself :(How much would a mechanic charge for oil change in Sydney?Probably around $80 dependign on exactly where you are and what sort of oil you want.

But...please...ask someone to show you how to do it yourself - paying a car mechanic just to change the oil and oil filter is like paying a dentist to brush your teeth for you.How much would a mechanic charge for oil change in Sydney? No more than $30!?!? I'm in Brisbane but I'm certain they will charge more than that in Sydney! :-)

The type of car will affect the amount they may charge. A basic service on a car pretty much only involves an oil change and will probably set you back $70-$100. This will cover the cost of the oil, filter, and labour.

A compact car maybe less, but a Diesel 4X4 probably a fair bit more.

If you have the slightest bit of mechanical aptitude, you should buy a workshop manual and an oil filter remover and try this yourself. Good luck! How much would a mechanic charge for oil change in Sydney? Here is a video step by step guide on how to change the filter and oil.

It is alot easier than you think
