How can I do my own oil change?

I want to change the oil on my yamaha vstar 650 but idk how i seen this videos on how to but is always a sports bike or a diff model is there a website that can teach me how?How can I do my own oil change?See if this will help. Changing the oil is no problem but the V Star oil filter is sorta hidden.

open the oil cover.



then find the drain plug and loosen it.



throw away the old gasket. wait for all the oil to drain out.



remove the oil filter, wait for all the oil to drain out and wipe clean the area.



put some oil on the oil filter o-ring. put some motor oil into the filter. screw on the oil filter.



put the new drain plug gasket on the drain plug and screw it in.



fill put your engine with oil, to the mark. put the oil cap back on.

Be sure to get the correct filter.

Place a large area bucket under the bottom of the bike engine.

Remove the drain plug on the bottom of the case, remove the oil filter cover and filter.

Replace the new filter and cover.

Replace the drain plug.

Fill with oil.

Drain the used oil into a milk jug ( less than a gallon) and take to auto store for recycling.

If you buy the oil there they will take it for you.
