Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?

Ok, I drive an small size SUV and my maintenance light came on which indicates an oil change is needed. However, I checked to see how low it marked on the metal stick and it was a hair above the second bump. Can I hold off doing an oil change until fri of next week or should I do one today? I don't want to ruin my engine, but at the same time I don't have the money to get it serviced this week. By the way, I dive approximately 108-ish miles daily. In order to do this accurately you need to wipe the oil off and stick it back in and pull it out. The second %26quot;BUMP%26quot; is where the oil should be.
