How many miles can I go before my synthetic oil change?

When I go to Jiffy lube, they tell me I have to go every 3000 miles. When I read on line, I'm told between 6-8 thousand. But in my car I'm told 13k. So, what is it?How many miles can I go before my synthetic oil change? You can go up to 10,00 miles, but I personally would not go above 7K

Dr AntonyHow many miles can I go before my synthetic oil change?I would look in the maintenance manual. It will tell you the interval between oil changes. It most likely is about 5,000 miles. How many miles can I go before my synthetic oil change? On a new car you want to protect the powertrain warranty on, I would have the dealer change the engine oil using his required oil change intervals. Ford uses a synthetic blend on all their oil changes.

Once the warranty has expired, I would only respect authorities on the subject that give you actual test results from years of research to give any sort of credibility to their claim. For example, what does a guy that works for a %26quot;quickie lube%26quot; really know about motor oils? Does he have any sort of training and education in motor oil testing and research? What is his source for making the claims he makes? He may be right, but his credibility is zero in my eyes.
